The Wine Traveler
Documentary serial work in development
Synopsis
The first season of the series will consist of 13 episodes, each 26 minutes long, and will focus on small boutique wineries in wine-producing regions of four South American countries: Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, and Brazil. In future seasons, The Wine Traveler will explore Europe: "A Viajante do Vinho - Os vinhos maravilhosos de Portugal"; "A Viajante do Vinho - Os fabulosos vinhos franceses da Provence e de Chateauneuf du Pape"; "A Viajante do Vinho - Os melhores vinhos italianos na rota da Toscana". Wine expert Jorge Lucki will suggest regions where highly awarded and excellent quality wines are produced, discussing the characteristics of the region, climate, soil, production, and why boutique wineries thrive there. Based on his comments in each episode, the wine traveler will explore the region, showcasing the small wineries and their award-winning wines, discussing the historical and cultural aspects of the city, and the characteristics and peculiarities of the grapes cultivated there.
By documenting wine production, culture, and history, and exploring the nature of these regions, the series will connect Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, and Brazil, showcasing the cultural identity of these countries through wine production. Unveiling the boutique wineries of each country, drawing an imaginary line that unites them, will also help to promote the rich cultural heritage of South America and its stories.
